Penalties like that are a blight on the game. I know some people think it is part of the game but I would like to see a radical change. At this level EVERY penalty is reviewed and if deemed a dive then a penalty is awarded to the other side and the diver red carded. It will stop it almost immediately.

I agree with both GreekLunatic and ronrat that penalty dive by Fred was a disgrace. Croatia would be furious and rightly so as it totally changed the momentum of the match after that.

No doubt a tough group Swoop42.

Socceroos down 2-1 at half time.

Goal to Tim Cahill.
First half looked like they were going to get really smashed but hanging in there. Chile much better skilled & a class above.

At least the boys have scored goal, good for those who like a bet.

We gave all we could. Effort was great, organization was pretty good (except for their second goal), played wide and stretched them on plenty of occasions in attack, defence on the whole coped well.
Just lacked the class and it showed.
3-1 may be a harsh scoreline, but we did well overall and basically ran the entire second half.
Now for the Dutch.
