Really? I despise Chelsea because they are a nothing club who think that they can buy history.

Do you know that around 20 years ago the pitch at Stamford Bridge had a dog track around it? Its amazing what money can buy, cant buy respect though.

I just like some of Chelsea's players and they are a good team to watch.

I despise the other 3 clubs i mentioned and most of their players make me want to stick burning match sticks in my eyes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a closet Chelsea supporter or anything.

Dont hate United or Liverpool, actually dont mind Liverpool and respect United for getting their enormous success from their youth system from the 80's. Although i think the way they headhunt players these days is completely wrong.

I despise the Goons for obvious reasons, we all know how they bought their way into the top flight and we all know that they're the only club without a home  , i mean where is Arsenal?

But at least the Goons have a history of winning a few things. Before the Russian came on board Chelsea had won 1 league title, 3 FA Cups and 2 League Cups. Thats a list that most teams in the Championship can match. Everyone knows that Spurs league history isnt great (2 league titles) but at least we have made ourselves famous by being the Cup team. In 1991 we had 8 FA Cups, more than any other club. Since then we have been overtaken by United and the Scum.

I have a great respect for Man Utd and Liverpool. Arsenal are a big club too. I also appreciate why Chelsea are disliked.

I won't dispute the history comparisons. When I first heard Liverpool fans sing the "**** off, chelsea fc, you aint got no history, 5 european cups, 18 leagues, that's what we call history" song I had to laugh. Good luck to them. A big night of European Football at Anfield is a great highlight.

I know full well where Chelsea sits in the pecking order historically.

Chelsea has a bright future though and they are in a great part of town, (whereas Liverpool, Manchester and North London are all dumps populated by pykies). Although it's not evident from this far away, the club and it's broader community are very well aware of where they came from, how lucky they have been, and the importance of not making a mess of this opportunity to sustain what is currently an abnormally inflated financial level.

But this is something we Chelsea fans generally only keep to ourselves. Please don't tell anyone at the So Bar that I have let the cat out of the bag to you guys!

blackandwhiteatheart.... how did you come to support the Chels? For me it was living 5 tube stops away from Stamford Bridge on the District Line.

punkologist.... I am sorry... but I just don't get it with Newcastle. Why do you always make such a mess of things? I am not having a go, just trying to empathize with you on a friendly level. It must be frustrating.
