No. The pre-season game was a mismatch of mammoth proportions - our senior team (minus 5 or 6 players) versus Geelongs reserve squad, minus some of their better players.

With Wellingham and possibly Cooke likely to play for the seniors, our midfield will be seriously challenged. I expect young Ryan Colbert might get a call up after a good game for Old Xavs - if he beats his report!

Rudeboy, you have kept an eye on who played where and how they played (Ryan Colbert) By all accounts Shane McDonald played a BOG game against Chelsea. Kicked 4 of their goals If Collingwood Magpies want their Primary players to meld into the team they have to get a regular run.
that's the thing I love about football :-)

Couldn't agree more mate. Colby is a great player who runs all day - his only weakness being that he is very slight and easily knocked off the ball. As for Shane McDonald, I reckon he's a gun, who could even make it at AFL level. He's the strongest player for his height i've ever seen and he's a beautiful kick.

he's persistant in wanting Dawes to play HB. Must be trying to do a Rocca in his early days. Play him there then do the switcharooney later on. I'd say his best possy is forward, he looks lost down back.
