Suggestion

Post by CQ »

On some other forums I go to (with a similar layout to this one) they have a feature where if you point your mouse over the thread title (in the index) a little box comes up with the first post of the thread, so you can see what it's about without opening it.

It would help stop multiple threads on the same thing (that *someone* always gets upset about) seeing as it's not always obvious what the thread is about without opening.

That *someone* includes myself, among others.

CQ, the problem is people don't actually care if a thread exists, because they want to start a thread themselves, and secondly, people fail to check even the thread headings.

So, delete the 2nd thread, posts and all.
They'll soon get the message.

I think both deleting duplicated threads aswell as being able to look at the first post before opening would be the best way of eliminating duplication.

Also people should make thread titles very clear on what the thread is about..
There is just one team we favour...

Nothing wrong with the suggestion. Although there was no need to refer to *someone*. I only took it up after a couple of others kept saying the same thing, because I agree with them, and it does get to the stage when people need to be informed to look beyond their nose.
