I had taken notice of Schultz in previous encounters, In the few games I saw, there were no particular standout reasons for being overly impressed.
I sort of was, I liked his presence of being involved.

Yday the penny dropped. He is like a clock.

Every time I look at a clock, it is doing its job really well.

Everyone happy with this lad? Being overseas, I don't get to watch other teams as I did when I was in Oz.

^ as with most interstate players, they tend to be a bit out of mind, out of sight for the majority of supporters. Trouble is with highlight packages, they're exactly that, most look good in these.
Outside of trusting the Club, the chat from multiple Freo fans is that they didn't want to lose him and we have got a real talent.
What I have liked in the highlight reels is his defensive part of his game, loves to tackle. Very much in the Macrae mould.

The highlights I saw had a lot of him free "out the back" or in space, though getting there is a skill in itself.

jonmac1954 wrote:Lachie NOMINATED us - an established, strong 30+ goal a year small forward with a great tackling technique NOMINATED us.

He wants to be here and will play for the jumper. And our chaos ball play will suit him down to the ground.

A future first and the Adams pick is at the top end but he walks straight into the team and makes us a better, more competitive and higher scoring proposition.
bump!
this!!

Welcome Lachie indeed!!

^I never knew Jack was 185cm as he plays more like Schultz' height. It's amazing how much taller and shorter different individuals play for their size (look how good a mark IQ is for his height).

Now I've had more time to look him up, Schultz is a top pick up. Absolutely perfect for the way we play. Short of picking up a monster gun CHF, which would never have happened with our picks, Schultz is about the best forward we could've secured. Super recruiting work by the looks.
