2024 AFL Premiership fixture

What is never admitted, is that the mounting injury toll is a result of the AFL's obsession with making the game faster. The expanded interchange enables way too many rotations, ensuring the pace of the game hardly ever subsides. I know I'm an old fart, but I actually preferred the game when there were just 2 on the bench and players could not return to the field once taken off. The game back then was more reliant on stamina, rather than burst speed, and positional football dominated, leading to many more one on one duels. I preferred the game style of the 70s and 80s, but am the first to admit that players today are often more skilled.

The evidence for a totally rigged fixture is clear to everyone. First the grand finalists from last year get stitched up to play that pathetic promotional Round 0.
Far too many 4 and 5 day breaks for sides. 3 games in 13 days kind of stuff.
Sydney have just gone on their second bye in 11 rounds and have a 17 day break before they come back. No wonder they have the smallest injury list in the comp.
It's all too obvious AFL, you want Sydney to win the flag and if you had a chance to have a Sydney GF you would too.
**** the corrupt AFL.
