Watching the tennis.
Rafa looks buggered, such a gutsy effort though. Some rucking moron abusing him when he’s on adv. and could have won the set. Chucked out but also chucked out his concentration.
WTF. In deed, this Australian open has been so marred by bad sportsmanship, form the calling out at critical moments, to those damn stupid booo sounds. The Novaxx affair might have looked bad to some tools who don’t get it, but by gees the damn tools carrying on in such a disgusting unsportsmanlike way are really an embarrassment
Went to one electric day today, my sister in law bought us tickets for helping them put in a new kitchen. I only knew three of the bands, and a handful of songs all very hot day! Killing Heidi wasn’t there, but the two. Woman that sang instead were amazing. I recognised tainted love, and the lead singer was entertaining, John peters still has it, but not keen on the songs he did for the most part. So I people watched! And OMG it’s one big WTF! Do these people not own mirrors? Or do they have so much more self esteem than me? Or maybe, lucky them they just don’t care! The woman in the opaque boob tube dress, that was really see through once she got wet some how, I mean go you, but picture the Michelin man in a wet t shirt competition. I was mesmerised! Mullets. OMG, they out tiger kinged the tiger king, one guy had about 10 strands of hair left on his head, but somehow his mullet was a sight to behold! Tatts. More on the ladies than the men. Everything hanging out, both sexes. Gunna be some sunburnt bodies tomorrow. Little old ladies with purple hair, bopping away. And then it struck me, I had purple hair a couple of weeks back! (I was bored the packet was there) nothing hanging out on me I have low self esteem today! But I’m watching them dance and I remembered junior making fun of me a while back for the way I dance, that little 4 beat shuffle. And they all looked just like me with the occasional head bang chucked in there! Looking in the mirror sans Tatts! I cracked up! Hubby thought I was nuts! And then the long awaited moment, here comes Jimmy! 6 songs in Hubby is antsy cos he doesn’t want to be stuck in the car park, some bitch told me to sit down, I did for a minute then others got up so ueah **** her! 6 songs in and all new songs! The final WTF, every time. I mean I went to Springsteen and he didn’t sing born in the USA, c’mon now, that what you go for! I’m silently praying just give me flame trees! Or Khe San! Nup. We left to beat the rush! I’ll play the CD! I’ve been to I think 4 of these things now, I reckon that’s the last! Too hot, too long, too far to the loo, and the sound can’t match a decent venue! Interesting day though. Nothing like watching a pack of old buggers get drunk and have fun just like old times, and then suddenly realising that’s you!

Driving home from Heidelberg today, was sitting in traffic and saw a bloke on the footpath riding one of those battery scooters. Not unusual, but this thing had a little 2 wheeled covered trailer attached to the back of it, with a dog inside

So junior has been working as a PE teacher for 10 days, up til today only 1 really feral kid who is in grade 1. He simply refuses to do anything. In any class. 1st day of prep, and the latest sweetheart brother started school. He hit three teachers including junior, gave the deputy head an uppercut and made a throat slitting motion to her. in the morning mum said she wouldn’t get him at 1, he could wait for his brothers! They called her in at 11, she talked on the phone the entire time she was in the office, refused to hang up! WTAF! Thankfully the head is being proactive with reporting!

Shit. Good luck to junior but don't be too hard on the kid. I've learned a lot in the past 12 months about how trauma at home can impact kids behaviour.
Report it and let the specialists sort it out.

Oh I don’t blame the kid, there was much more to the parent end I don’t want to add. My opinion of the mother would get me banned!stui magpie wrote:^

And made a slit your throat action! Too many parents seem to think it’s the schools job to teach manners and discipline, things kids should know before they attend school.David wrote:A … 5-year-old gave a teacher an uppercut!?

There's a lot of "parents" out there who are totally unsuited or unequipped to be a parent.
Also, over the past 2 years with extended lockdowns and restrictions, many young kids have been forced to stay at home instead of going to daycare or kinder, parents trying to work from home and care for kids at the same time or getting older siblings to do it.
Many women have been trapped at home with abusive partners. Kids witness or experience family violence, psychological abuse, alcohol and drug abuse.
Lockdowns saved lives but it's going to take years to unpack all the damage that's been done.
