Its the top 6 that play finals.

Collingwood cannot finish higher than 6th, unlikely to drop down even if North win and we lose.

With one more game left in the home and away season, Collingwood will look to secure themselves a spot as they sit sixth on the ladder.

The ideal finish, knock out Casey, knock out Essendon, beat Geelong in the GF and almost justify the end to last season.

Team listed yesterday on the Collingwood website is different to the lie up in the match centre. Assume there have been some late changes - not uncommon this season.

Another debutant, Alexandra McCulloch from U18 Oakleigh Chargers.

Mel Bragg who played with the Collingwood netball team for a couple for seasons (as a midcourt defender), is in the team for Geelong.

Let's at least get into the second week of finals.

Still spewing about the non-GF last year.

Yep, looks like the two AFLW newbies in Bomber & Hawks will fight out the GF this year.

Hopefully the Pies can put in a good performance on Sunday but it will be tough.

1st Elimination Final

Sunday 12 June @ 11.35am. Venue Casey Fields.
(This game will be followed by Casey vs Pies VFL game)

Big blow for the Pies with Matilda Zander out. She has been our best and most consistent player all season. No AFLW listed players in the team.

Disappointing but not surprising result for the VFLW.
A reflection of their season, just getting into the finals.
And a gap between the top couple of teams and everyone else.

Casey 7.3.45 defeated Collingwood 1.4.10

Goal: Monique Dematteo

Beaten in most of the stats apart from free kicks and tackles, marginally ahead in clearances.

I assume vflw is over early end of the season not even july yet.

Well played making finals.

Knew Casey and Essendon as the top 2 front runners they will play in the GF.

Need to re set again next season.

Some nice young players coming on now too.
