Just finished watching "Murder in the First", absolutely brilliant.

Kevin Bacon, Gary Oldman, and Christian Slater all sensational.

Well worth a watch.

I'm officially in love with Michelle Rodriguez. Up against Jessica Alba and a naked Lindsay Lohan and she wins hands down. (not that the last two are in any way shabby)
I bought this because of your review!!

Not bad, quite funny, de Nero brilliant as usual!,

And year, I though Angelina was the only one to make me turn, but michelle is scorching in this!!

Jessica is too girl next door, but not bad, and Lindsay looks like herself, a wasted ####.

Strange very violent, but not a bad movie!
yeah it's a different movie. Robert Rodrigez is a quentin tarrantino fan, and vice versa and Michelle Rodrigez is smoking.

I just watched "Drive Angry". If you can handle Nicholas Cage, it's not bad. Very much 80's action flick genre with a tad of "The Crow" thrown in.
handle Nic Cage??? NOW he is hot!! Conair is one ogf my all time favourite movies!! Gone in 60 sec (with the gorgeous Angelina) and the Rock (although the under ground chase scene always gets me, ive been there twice, and it aint that big!!)

ill have to get that one!!

I'm 3/4 the way though hot fuzz, I'll watch the rest on my xtrnr in the morning, it's actually a lot better than I expected, got the double pack with the other comedy horror spoof, something dead??

I'm about to sit down and watch Senna with hubby, got the blue ray extended version. And 2 boxes of tissues.

I really don't know if I can watch it. I still remember I fell asleep during the race. I was about 6 months pregnant and sooo tired! hubby came back home from work about 7 and said, someone was killed, I think it was Senna. I'll never forget it, I was so heart broken, he was my hero. My dad would find me in the middle of the night, fast asleep with my eyes wide open watching grand prixs!

I became a motor mechanic because of Senna and Brocky.... I got to have a coffee with Brocky at GMH when I was an apprentice, I'll always treasure that. He was so nice to this star struck 17 year old! I have all the newspaper clippings, but I can't bear to read them.

Same as Princess Dianna, which you may not understand, but I'm British, and she was my queen. I don't care about the royals much now, Charles as good as killed her, IMO. I have a massive box of cuttings and books I have been given, but I just can't look at them, maybe one day...

4 celebrity deaths that have just shattered me, Ayrton Senna, Peter Brock, Princess Di, Elvis Presley, all taken way too soon.

I'll let you know what the movies like.....

brilliant, just brilliant.

cried a bucket.

funny how Prost lets himself be the chump (or maybe he's to arrogant to notice!) all the way through, but at the end they show him chummy with Ayrton. And sad that we lost Him.

You see him that day, he is so aggitated and nervous. Why didn't he do a Niki Louda and get out the car and say, no, not today im done.

Such a tragic waste.

watch the extras, the school Brazil has in his name, its brilliant.

but to the athiests, theres bits you won't like!!

might get the Brock one now.

RIP Ayrton Senna,

The last true Champion of the world, before the car started doing the work.

Thanks for the memories.

The Crucible (1996) with Daniel Day-Lewis and Winona Ryder.

I only watched it as I'm doing it in VCE next year.

Dogs in Space last night.
I keep forgetting what it was like back then.
They even managed to get some of it into the film.
It was spooky, i knew half the cast and/or characters.

Just watched "Rocky Balboa" aka Rocky 6.

Tears in the corner of the eyes and the feeling of wanting to run through a brick wall. Say what you like about Stallone but he crafted a series that could hit a nerve.

Yup. whenever I need a revup, there are clips on youtube of rocky training scene montages.

in #6, the training scene was a little overwhelming but the speech he gives to his son is a classic

also, if you watch stallone in interviews and such, he is not an idiot. very down to earth, funny guy and articulate despite the stereotypes

Damn good. You're right, Stallone is no dill. he can be quite articulate when he wants to be, just everyone latches onto the Rocky character to say he can't speak. Watch him in Tango and Cash.

I like this one too.

Love this one.

Comparison between the modern training and old school is great. As Tom Hafey said, he still has the same set of weights he bought 50 years ago. They may be a tad rusty but they still weigh the same.
