I was in Singapore Airport about 10 years ago and wielding a machine gun was the most stunning female soldier I will ever see. I went to a cafe to have a beer and an hour later the girl turns up in civvies and sat next to me and ordered a cup of tea. I told her she was the most outstanding looking soldier I had ever seen and should be on a runway not guarding it. She laughed and explained she was doing her annual National Service and in normal life was a catwalk model for a leading Singapore fashion house.

There would have been a line of Doctors outside the barracks if they had to test here virginity.

WTAF?

I thought this was a bad joke when I first saw it reported.
Several impounded dogs due to be rescued by a shelter have instead been shot dead by a rural council in NSW under its interpretation of COVID-19 restrictions, alarming animal activists and prompting a government probe.

Bourke Shire Council, in the state’s north-west, killed the dogs to prevent volunteers at a Cobar-based animal shelter from travelling to pick up the animals last week, according to council’s watchdog, the Office of Local Government.

The idea that he spent the rest of his life in India and lived to the age of 120 ... not so much.
