I've seen The Tree of Life and Harry Potter one recently.
I have no interest in Harry Potter but was dragged along and it was entertaining enough, without having the same level of investment a lot of the audience seemed to.
The Tree of life has been something I have been waiting for, for over a year. I have never been moved by a film like this. I'm not sure if it's the best film I've ever seen, but it is the most evocative, beautiful and ambitious.

That would break my heart, i used to get up in the middle of the night and watch F1 when i was a teen/twenty something - he was my favourite driver - i remember the night he died....Brenny wrote:Saw Senna...
Amazing. The last 20-30 mins were moving.
Especially since I love F1 and I knew what was coming.
Do they play him well?
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

The directors had access to the FOM video archives.
Took them approx 10 years to make this movie.
There are no actors or anything in this movie, it's all real footage of Senna, Prost, Mansell, Ron Dennis, Frank Williams and many others. It's 106mins of real footage. Personal home movies and FOM video.
There is no sitdown interviewing, but there are voice overs of his sister and family, but it's so well done.
I don't remember the race, I was only 9, but I have watched alot of video of it. They also show Barrichello's and Ratzenburgers (sp?).

Re-watched The Great White Hype recently.
A very underrated satire of a broad range of topics including racial attitudes and stereotypes. One of those movies that you "get" when watching for not the first time.
Brilliant performances all round - especially from Samuel L. Jackson. There is so much symbolism and subliminal humour in it, that we should have broken this thing down in year 11 English instead of - What's Eating Gilbert Grape!!!!

I recently watched the movie Paul.
Another alien movie from the guys that brought us Shaun of The Dead, and the likes. It was pretty decent, funny, though it's probably not suitable for the kiddies with the language that Paul sprouts.
I won't post much else, it's just another basic alien flick that's like E.T but a bit corny, and such.
