^ Im confident that Ed Allan will become a good player. Sulli is a great depth option. Ned and Finn are ok, but wouldn't feature heavily unless disaster strikes.

Re: Kennedy and Robertson, you said it man! I would have loved to get one of them, particularly Kennedy. But we move on. Geez, this time last week, we were sweating on Houston.

We inject Perryman, Houston, perhaps Membrey and we have a good run with injuries...

Our youngsters will benefit from getting some games in a strong stable side. They will not be exposed coming into a side already depleted by injuries.

Good players play better with good players around them , we will see who blossoms.

I want people to take a deep breath and imagine his name wasnt Weiderman
No-one would want him
Well, AFAIK, no one does want him. Maybe folks all took deep breaths?

Unfortunately the Weed on offer is low quality leaf reminiscent of home grown backyard products of the 80's rather than the high quality, high potency stuff generally available today.
Unfortunate. Folks say it was grown from high-quality seed. Something in the growing process must have gone wrong.

'Determining the gender of a cannabis plant is crucial for cultivation if you’re not growing feminized or autoflowering seeds. Female cannabis plants produce buds, while males produce pollen sacs. Gender identification usually occurs during the pre-flowering stage, which typically happens around 4-6 weeks into the plant’s growth. Look for the appearance of pre-flowers, small structures that indicate the plant’s gender. Male pre-flowers resemble small balls, while female pre-flowers have a more teardrop-shaped structure.'

^ He didnt have any love for the Pies growing up and he was drafted by a team that wouldnt know the first thing about passion. I just think his heart wasn't in it.

Had a club with a bit of knowledge on how to develop players and insert the passion to play into their blood drafted him, he could have been anything. And to think he went from them to a soulless Essendon team. Any wonder he couldnt find his spark.

Interesting Carlton basically said "Cya, don't let the door hitya on the way out!". Sounds like their may be more to his story.

With all the culling going on I was thinking about players that were delisted and turned into guns...Martin Pike tops that list. Traded from Melbourne to Fitzroy because of drinking issues, delisted when Bears swallowed Lions, drafted by Norf, delisted in 2000 due to more issues, 5 yrs at the Lions and legendary status achieved (Stringer should be inspired by his story). I wonder if we have any Pikey's in this batch of castoffs?

Would really love to see the Pies rookie Sam Glover from our VFL programme.

194cms and 84kgs, he offers a player that can give us a chop-out down back or up forward as the third tall...

Turns 28 this December and is a very reliable player- has height and versatility which are two attributes the Pies can gladly accept on their list.

Is regarded as a very fine clubman as well. can never have too many good-citizens in our footy club.
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

+1 - when I get to see a vfl game telecast he always seems a standout. I think he is worth giving a year to - have done for the last couple of seasons

Read an interesting article on Liam McMahon today.

His top age year was ruined by Covid before we drafted him so his first year was under Bucks and he was coming from a long way back. Drafted as a forward, when Fly came in he was told he was seen as a back so played their to develop.

At the end of Fly's first season, we'd gone from near bottom to a Prelim, so Fly apparently told him at his exit meeting that we're more advanced than we thought, we don't have time to develop you, we need some mature players and we don't have a list spot for you, so he was cut.

Now while that seems harsh, we got McStay and Frampton in and won the flag next season so you'd have to say it wasn't a bad call.

Since then, he's gone to Carlton's VFL team where he's played in his proper position, KPF, and done pretty good.

Apparently he bears no grudge and is still good mates with Fin, Reefe and Beau, we could do worse than pick him up as a rookie, PSD or delisted FA. He's giving me Podsiadly vibes.

45 goals is a good effort, 2.8g per game average . 198cm, only 89kg though. If we miss out on Sims it'd definitely be a good option. Carlton would be in the box seat surely?

^ what a strange article in the link above. Includes a paragraph that Talks about Graeme Wright as list manager and the need for an experienced Fwd with McStay in recovery from an ACL.

Was the Membrey move meant to happen 12months ago but then stalled?

“Collingwood's list manager, Graham Wright, highlighted the need for experienced forwards to complement the existing talent at the club. With Brody Mihocek turning 32 and Dan McStay recovering from an ACL injury, the Magpies were light on experienced key forward options.“

Now if Membrey is locked away, are we still in the hunt for an experienced defender. We were looking at Tomlinson. I wonder if we’re looking at Tom Clurey who was delisted by Port? He’s a medium KB, 30years old so ripe for our old group
