Side by side, unless we are losing, maybe they should have a membership for that!

"misery loves company"
Misery loves company. Just read through some of this drivel. I hope the players never get to read this. Trolling our own is like throwing rocks at your own windows.

McReery is no midfielder. Nowhere near is.
McRae, Sullivan are not standard and first out after the by. Who cares, play another ruckman. McRae is a liability. Sub him now.
Moore is a shadow of himself but to be honest when your midfield is so bad and the supply is constant what are you meant to do?
Cameron has been one of our best this season, taking a bath.
I would we would be 7-2-6 at the bye, I didn’t think it including losing to this shithouse club.Haff wrote:Lazy crap. Lazy lazy crap. Again, mids.Haff wrote:I’ve never turned the game off at half time. This time I didn’t make it.

Yeah I was at that game too and crying my little eyes out at half time. Great comeback. This was also like the day at this stadium in 2011 when we came back from the dead against the Crows. Swannie was big that day.Piesnchess wrote:OH YE BASTARDS OF LITTLE FAITH, never in doubt, LOL. LOL. Great win, how sweet it is.
Mind you this time they were the bottom side so we had to win. Why did it take us three quarters to get going though. Now we'll get some troops back after the bye. I saw Pendles there after the game. He'll be right to go and we need him.

So in REAL time Laurie tell us why these comments weren't wrong? So we had a last quarter for the ages? Who could have seen that coming. Get real.LaurieHolden wrote:xxxx.

Correct mate, the Pies motto has always been, Never say Die, but under Fly, he has taken this to a whole new level. Thank God we have the Bye, dunno if me blood pressure could take THAT again next week.

Yeah, nah…Josh kept North in it with his left foot rubbish turnovers…not one of his best. Sidey, Nicky, Bobby, Howe, Sarge, Crispy, Q, and the man, the myth, the legend Maynard kept us in it.Pete 70 wrote:How good is it going to the bye with a win like that. Lost once since round 3. Undermanned but with 52 1%ers. Very much our DNA.
We had 10 goal kickers (amongst 14 scorers). North had 11 (amongst 12). Larkey 4, Zurhaar 3.
Well done Bobby Hill 5 goals, his best match since the GF. And a nod to Lachie Schultz, keeps applying himself. At times it wasn't pretty, but 4 goals is great output in a match like that. Didn't drop his head.
Nick Daicos, one simply runs out of superlatives to describe his will and game impact. 60 games, ridiculous.
Beau's lockdown job was as pivotal in swinging the momentum as any on the ground. Well done son. another who didn't drop his head.
Time In Front
North ~ 118:50 BIGGEST LEAD 54 pts, Q3 00:57
Pies ~ 10:41 BIGGEST LEAD 6 pts, Q1 01:06

Re: "misery loves company"
Thanks for highlighting this Laurie. I just had a read through the match day thread and some of it is pretty pathetic.shawthing wrote:So in REAL time Laurie tell us why these comments weren't wrong? And Shawthing; in REAL time, yes those comments are wrong. Nothing worse than when I go to the footy and I end up sitting near some fellow Collingwood ‘supporter’ who just bags our players all day for making mistakes. We all get emotional during a game, and you pay your money so you can say what you like, but that’s not supporting our boys. Doing it in the matchday thread is the same thing, but your comments are permanent.
As for today’s umpires, I had no problem with them. I reckon we got away with a fair few today; e.g Nick D holding the ball right in front of Norths goal at a critical time in the match.
As for today’s commentators I also had no problem. It’s understandable in a game between the reigning Premier AFL powerhouse and the perennial cellar-dweller, broke club, that they are gunna barrack a bit for the underdog, especially when they were totally dominant and on the cusp of the upset of the season. I can cop that.
