O'Neill had success at Leicester, Celtic & Villa in the past. Don't think he ever got the results hoped for after replacing Steve Bruce at Sunderland.
The relegation bun fight is well and truly on again. Weeks ago I tipped QPR, Reading & Newcastle. Maybe I picked the wrong Geordies?

Well Martin O'Neill and the board 'officially parted ways', but it's just another way of saying you've been sacked in a gentle manner.

I think it's a strange time for him to be sacked by Sunderland's board considering we're at the tail end of the season now.

It is a big risk Jezza you are quite right, Saints fans were fuming when Adkins was sacked, boycotting games even, i bet they are back in the stands again now, Sunderland would never of beaten Newcastle with O'Niel in charge, some players just try a lot harder for a new manager. But the reason clubs panic is simple....money, money is the root of all evil mate!!!
On a personal level Jezza, how well do you think Rafa has done?

Personally, I dislike Rafa for past comments he made about Chelsea, and I don't think I'll ever forgive him for it, but looking past that he's been too inconsistent for my liking.

One minute Chelsea is producing great results like they did last night against Fulham, but on other occasions we lose to Southampton 2-1 or even lose to QPR at home 1-0 which was beyond embarrassing. So in summary, if I have to describe Rafa's tenure in one word, it would be inconsistent.

I really hope he's not around next season and the club can move on and find a better manager. I've been able to tolerate him because of the fact that's he leaving at the end of the season, but I still have a big fear that Roman may keep him on, which would be disastrous for the club. If I could any manager next season, it would be Jose Mourinho.

Sounds as if you guys might be going after Pellegrini, he's a brilliant manager and would be a good choice. Was quite surprised Liverpool didn't make a play for him when Kenny left to be honest

Yes mate I'm a proud Chelsea fan. I've followed them for 15 years and my uncle has followed them since Peter Osgood was the hero in the 1970 FA Cup Replay against Leeds United.

Yes, hopefully we can play out the season reasonably well and and secure a crucial top 4 spot. Arsenal are tracking along ok as well, and I think they'll actually finish above Tottenham once again. Spurs seem to struggle at the latter part of the season and I think they're too heavily reliant on Gareth Bale as well.

Not since 1962 have they been in the top flight, but last nights results confirm them as winners of the Championship.
Interesting Cardiff City facts;
They are the only non-English team to ever win the FA Cup
Their new Malaysian owners decided after they took control they didn't like their colours. Cardiff were the 'Bluebirds' & played in blue for 100 years. "Nah, were wearing red now", the owners said, so last year they swap to red!
I hope they're hungover next game v Bolton as they have nothing to play for now, but we have just moved up into the Play Off places with only 2 games to go. So every point for us is massive.

Also, how weak are Man City? I couldn't believe they just bottled it like that, they may have cost us a top 4 spot.....

Sadly for Suarez, he is a repeat offender. He did the same sort of thing when playing for Ajax.
A sublime footballing talent, but good god he must be lacking a fair few million brain cells.
Its now a question of what will Liverpool do? The FA will obviously sanction him, and I hope the throw they book at him as he deserves it.
But what is his future with Liverpool? What standards does that club wish to uphold?

Suarez is the opposite of a class act, and is well suited to Liverpool. They wont have the balls to dump him, as then they will be in serious danger of going down.
