Once the football starts I'm sure he'll remind you why you liked him the first time around.

A tad harsh, he will be a fine player for us.

Apparently the bible forgives the return of the prodigal son. Beamsy you're forgiven for:

* Going to the Harp Hotel in B&F night 2014
* Slagging off Bucks
* Telling the Brisbane players "you love them" at their 2018 B&F night
* for getting 1 possession in the 2011 Preliminary Final
* for the tattoos

Win us a flag in 2019!

I can understand the sentiment, because I had the same concerns when he first returned, but now I'm firmly behind him and hope he can continue his good form from Brisbane.

If we can get 3 or 4 good years out of him, I'll be more than happy with the club's decision to recruit him.

I bet you all will warm to him when he’s collecting 40 touches and kicking 2 goals per game.

He makes us a 10% better team, make no mistake.

Who do Geelong tag? Sidey? Trealor? Pendles? Beams?

Good luck with that.

Did we win the return trade? We got Beams and Pick No. 41 and 44, the Lions received Pick No. 18, 56 and a future first-round pick. With all the new draft day deals and bidding, its a bit harder to work it out. But time will tell if we won the return trade or not.

Looking forward to that in September, burnsy17. So far, 115 home and away goals from 98 matches for Collingwood but just 3 goals from 12 finals.

I was in the 'why do we need Beams back' camp.... but, from what I've seen in practice matches and heard about on the track since, I've flipped!
I can't wait to see him in action and grab that 2nd premiership medallion!

GO THE PIES!

How would it feel to be a Dockers supporter with the Hogan disaster.
Million a year for a guy with mental problems who loves getting regularly wasted as f@#k.
In fact I can't remember Freo ever getting a good trade but they have been very good to us over the years

He is the extra A grade midfielder that we need, given how the Eagles got on top of us in this area in 3 games last year.

He gave us De Goey, Crisp and Greenwood and now he is back, I don’t think we are going to miss out on much.

Agree 100%.

The key factor in our GF loss was losing the midfield battle. Adding Beams to our midfield can only be beneficial.

In retrospect, we now know that the Eagles got on top of us in the midfield because Pendles was playing with a phucked back....as well as recovering from meningitis.

However, your main point is correct. If Beams had been in there instead of Sier - who ran out of puff by 3/4 time - then we surely would have won our 16th flag.

Hard to believe this thread is for real! A dying father is why he left. Is there really anything else left to say. In my starting line up! Who cares if Brisbane are upset that he wanted to return to his spiritual home, least of all members of the Collingwood Football Club. Frankly Brisbane will get over it and most probably have forgotten already, so let's just forget it too. Or, if you can't, best to join the Lions and mope, although, you'll probably be mumbling in your beer with a few lost souls who have nothing much to talk about.
