Good to have him back

Will make the Collingwood team better in 2019 with average 29 disposals a game over his career and a hard tough player .

So to all those who find it a bad deal remember he was good at CFC before and Good at BB .

All the best Dane have a great future at Collingwood .

Welcome back Beams

We got reemed in the trade though.

Sorry a 29yo is not worth two 1st round picks.

Bloody hell! TWO first round picks for an injury-prone 29-year-old?

That's a hell of a price to pay. I was in favour of getting Beams, but this is a mind-numbing price.

The only thing to make it feel better is that both the first-round picks are just barely first-round ones, so maybe we can think of it as two almost-second-round picks.

Whatever. The price is paid now. Doesn't matter if it was too much, not now 'coz it is all in the past.

Stay on the park Beamer, my man, and let's see a couple more premierships from you.

Welcome back to Collingwood / Farewell #11 Dayne Beams

Whether good or bad, this does seem to be the Hine way. They can swap him with Guy and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

It is great to have him back but two first round picks does feel far too much. I think I would rather take that to the draft for two 18 year old 'potential' guns who will give 10+ years. It is just his age and leg speed that works against that price. His type is unlikely to get past 31 or 32. As some have said if we pull a flag with him then what a deal, if not, well, it would hold us back a little. Will be interesting to see how we use him.

All that aside he is back, welcome back and good luck Beamer!!

the 2 first rounders are watered down alot by the picks that came back to collingwood as well

And Beams they already know his personality and temperament so its a less of a risk then drafting a Wells in for example.

But we cant always just keep saying "get kids"
we should be saying "get premierships"

keep that in mind

Welcome back Beamsy, im glad u had a nice long holiday in QLD

I have no idea if this was a fair trade.. far more knowledgeable heads spent far more time nutting this out than I did so I'll back their call. All I can do now is get back to loving Beams. A premiership could be our 'make up sex'. :)
