Tito Villanova, Barcelona manager for their title winning 2012-13 season, died of throat cancer yesterday aged only 45.
Villanova spent years working his way along as an assistant coach at Barca and finally with Pep Guardiola moving to Bayern, he got the top job.

Watched the game at a pub in London near where I'm staying, enjoyed watching Stevie fall on his arse haha. Not a big fan of Liverpool or Chelsea (sorry mate ) so I'm hoping this gives City the chance to pinch it.Jezza wrote:It's do or die tonight! Chelsea need to win tonight if they're any chance for the title.
My gut says that Liverpool's going to win tonight unfortunately.

The Sports Asylum tonight will be another EPL show, http://thesportsasylum.sportsblog.com/p ... emier.html there's the preview. Should be another good night.
I am worried about Newscastle heading into the final couple of games, also the future with players almost certainly gone at seasons end. Just hope we can keep Krul.

So now the ball is in Man City's court. If they win all three remaining games, then they will be Champs. So come what may the title will go to the last game, and maybe like the unforgettable finish of two years ago, it may go down to the last minute of the last game.
Remaining games of those in the running;
Man City = Everton (away), Villa (home), West Ham (home) 77 points
Liverpool = Palace (home), Newcastle (away) 80 points
Chelsea = Norwich (home), Cardiff (away) 78 points + a Champions League Semi Final.
As a neutral, I'm really looking forward to the twists to come and there are bound to be some. I'll stick with my original choice of Man City, but with the pressure well and truly on, whoever does finish first will have absolutely earned it.

Yeah you lot are the team everyone wants to play at the moment. Massive injuries, absent manager and a few players probably having one eye on where they want to be next season. It's a shame because with a full team you guys are a decent unit.The Prototype wrote:The Sports Asylum tonight will be another EPL show, http://thesportsasylum.sportsblog.com/p ... emier.html there's the preview. I'm heading down to the Emirates to watch us play you tonight.
