Why there are so many injuries at Collingwood is another question.

Nah, I didn't.
How & when did he do that, at training?

The 2 players that caused some head aches for the pies were Houli and Higgins.
Higgins bobbed up when it mattered and Houli set up a lot of play in the mid field he was every where cutting across and he always marked it and kicked it back into the tigers forward 50 pies could not get past him . No one could match him and Higgins got a lot of the rub of the green too.
Pies had dusty cotchin and jack covered but struggled against tom lynch.
Howe best for the match with Mayne had a great game too.
Always like the intent of Mayne and Howe. Always have a dip.
Moore, Crisp and Maynard went missing and Noble was tagged out of the game too along with Sidebottom.

The form of non-Collingwood players is of limited interest to me.

Hawthorn were putrid. Too too heavy and slow. Tigers will run rings around them.

It was many weeks ago, probably at training. It was his knee. So he's recovered now but obviously could not really train while recovering.

Bit late to the post game comments party but Pies's backline was sensational. Flags are built on defense and our looks the goods. Forward line is another matter but then again (and despite dreadful officiating) the Tigers were no better than ours.

Bring on Round 3.

Am I correct in understanding that the Tigers had a 100% full list to chose from on Thursday night?

While we could have benefited from Cox, Treloar Stepho, and Greenwood (Langdon and Reid, meh....)?

You’re certainly right that we missed our greatest defender.

As for the rest of it, both teams looked to be running on half rat-power, so it probably doesn’t much matter who else might be available next time - what matters is how the teams stack up, match-hardened, at the business end. Watching that, who knows.

Neither side was fully fit. It’s a strange season.

I reckon that this seasons Premier will have an asterisk next to their name.
Personally, I think the season is fairer & easier, less games, everyone plays each other once & then finals.
Anything can happen.

I've been saying for years the inequality of the draw disadvantages us, now we have no excuses!
