With DeGoey, Mitchell, McCreery and Shultz all out for this week I would go with the following team to take on the Eagles;
B: Maynard, Frampton, Howe
HB: Quaynor, Moore, Noble
C:Sidebottom, Pendlebury, J.Daicos
HF: Hill, Mihocek, Harrison
F: Elliott, Cox, Hoskin-Elliott
R: Cameron, Crisp, N.Daicos,
IC: Macrae, Markov, Carmichael, Sullivan
Sub: McInnes

Josh Carmichael has a good run of form in the VFL where he performs a role of a goal kicking defensive forward. Not as fast as Beau McCreery but is a strong body and has shown an ability to hit the scoreboard at AFL level.
I'd like to see Ed Allan get a game soon but I think Macrae, Carmichael are ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment. We are still in need of banking some more wins to try and secure a top 4 spot in the finals.

^ I would not have both Macrae and Sully in the team
Maybe have Sullivan and Ash Johnson or Richards

Excited to see our depth tested and without taking the Eagles lightly (remember 2022), it's better against a lower rung side.

Outs:

* McCreery (Concussion)
* Schultz (Suspended)
* Steele: Manage
* Mihocek: injured

Ins:

* Richards
* Bytel
* McInnes
* Johnson: last chance saloon

B: Maynard Frampton Howe
HB: Quaynor Moore Markov
C: Jaicos Crisp WHE
HF: Harrison Johnson Lipinski
F: Hill McInnes Elliott
F: Cameron Pendles Naicos
ICH: Noble, Sullivan, Cox, Bytel, Richards

Hope you’re all ready for a truck load of wholesomeness cause it’s the MOTHER’S DAY game again.
With Beau being out, does that mean Mrs McCreery will be subbed out for the speech? Who’ll come in?
This was one of my favourite rounds last year. Hope the Mum’s get spoiled again.

I like that we are finally going thru changes in personnel, yet winning.
Mind you, not thru wise planning but forced changes.
Should see one more debutant, preferably Richards to replace the sergeant.

Checkers out with a Hammy, Kruger may get a crack if he didn't get injured.

I hope that for their sake and the club’s sake, they play fabulous football because increased quality of the depth will help the team to maintain their form and put pressure on the senior players to perform consistently.

Yeah but Melb are in 4th on 24points so we can't catch them Ess are in 5th so the best we can be after next round is 5th, but I would be happy with that!

Now that it has come out that Brody Mihocek is out of this game, and at least a couple after this one as well with a Hamstring strain, the selection becomes a bit more complicated. My choice is ;
B:Maynard, Frampton, Howe
HB: Quaynor, Moore, Noble
C: Sidebottom, Pendlebury, J.Daicos
HF: Hill, McInnes, Harrison
F: Elliot, Cox, Hoskin-Elliot
R: Cameron, Crisp, N.Daicos
IC: Carmichael, Markov, Sullivan, Lipinski
Sub: Macrae

Huge loss of Mihocek threatens to completely upset our structure and hence even more reason to add the stronger body of Josh Carmichael who has shown that he is capable of hitting the scoreboard at AFL level.
Unfortunately I don't see the upside of Joe Richards from his VFL form. He looks too small to be effective at the AFL level and doesn't have enough tricks to counter the lack of size & strength.

Kruger must be kept in cotton wool and not be allowed to drive in case he pulls a hammy from breaking too hard

Just when we need a % boost, the weagles come good, always the way hey, sides are shithouse for weeks, but then come good for us, shits me too tears. This mob beat us last season there, I recall , they did a Pearl Harbour on us, took us by total surprise. Now we must be ready for them , very wary, and we dont play that shitdug hole Marvel all that well do we ??

We should have a reasonably good win, no good beathing the Blues vermin, then stuffing this one up. So instead of a eight goal win, seeing these pricks are playing decently I reckon we settle for a 19 point victory.
