I've been to the 1970, 1977 (both), 1979, 1980, 1981, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2010 (both), 2011 and 2018 Grand Finals. That's 2 glorious victories from 13 attempts. I truly think we are on the cusp of turning our winning ratio around. For some reason (maybe my age?), I feel much more calm and relaxed about today's GF. I am confident that we have the right players, coaches, strategy and team spirit to win. Pies by 22 pts.

Happy Santa's Birthday to you all!
I have no doubt the boys will do us all very proud this arvo.
Here's hoping we can pull off a sweet 16th.

I've gathered my Pie mates here in BrisVegas. I've thrown in a Hawthorn mate that knows his footy for some perspective / balance.
Ice and beers have gone into the esky. T
On the fang, I'm opening with prawns, followed by BBQ lamb cutlets then into the marinated chicken wings.
Half time it's Four n Twenty Pies.
All going well, the red wine starts getting poured late in the 3rd quarter.
I'm sensing 1990 vibes (which I watched again last night as part of my prep). This time the Lions get a few early, before we take over by the 3rd quarter and our faithful start going bunta.
What a great day to be part of.
Absolutely fizzing at the bunghole.
Smash 'em lads!

I'm with you Rudey. While the bung is fizzing regarding GF day in general, I'm as relaxed (maybe realistic) as I've been going into a GF. I suspect like you the losses might have knocked me into sensibility, but I'm sensing 1990 vibes.RudeBoy wrote:I've been to the 1970, 1977 (both), 1979, 1980, 1981, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2010 (both) , 2011 and 2018 Grand Finals. Fairly quiet where I am, not much happening up here.
I’ll be watching on the tellie & commenting in the game day thread on occasions.
I hope we win by 10 goals so it’s a relaxing arvo for us all.

Absolutely Laurie. Actually I'm not quite sure to make of the expression "fizzing at the bunghole", but I love it. Go Pies!LaurieHolden wrote:I'm with you Rudey.
