Before this match, Adz was copping flak for his disposal of the ball.

Today: 91.4 D/E. 10 clearances. 9 inside 50s, 15 contested possessions.

You're game. I mostly avoid the game day thread during matches as it's full of vitriol and angst if we aren't dominating.

But yeah, good solid win. It may have been a bit of a canned hunt but it's a win and we got some of our shape back, playing the kind of footy we want to play

good game from all.
daics has found pre season form but I don't know if he keeps he's spot
if by some miracle we get some back. Aish by all reports may not be back
this season so a half back spot is up for grabs and daics has first dibs.
shazza..mmmm..got towelled up by anyone who could run at the ball, should he be isolated just like Appleby was against GWS then there's the avenue for
opposition goals a plenty. Moore to come back in may reshuffle the back six
with shazza in the ressies.
don't know what to make of the midfielders game because the opposition
was so poor, apart from the first ten minutes where it was evident that
their pressure led to forward entries and scoring chances.
apart from the ups and downs from the day the win was the most important
we had for quite a while without stating the obvious reasons why.
no second chances

In defence of my boy, he played a much better second half and showed some actual dash (!!!) breaking clear of opposition on rebound. Developing a bit more confidence in his legs perhaps? He's under-sized for a true centre half-back, with Darcy obviously better suited to that position, that's true.

He showed a good turning circle today, to duck inside a chasing tackler and get free. Haven't see that before. It's all about improving his athleticism and power for Shaz. Some good signs today.

Treloar's first half set us up and was as good as you'll see from a midfielder, his disposal was on point and his running was inspirational. Quieter in the second half, moved into the forward line more often to shake the hard tag of #11, but still managed to keep it going to a fair degree. One of his best games for the club overall and should give him confidence to keep it going.
Get back on top.

Pendles and Treloar goaling on the run from 50 is the kind of stuff we need more of. Do this, and suddenly our mids look formidable again.
I've been critical of Wills previously because of how slow he is in open play, but his inside work in the clearances was important. I think we keep him in the side just for that, seeingi it's one of our biggest weaknesses.

Good win apart from the first 10 minutes

Great to see some of the whipping boys have good games eg Treloar, Varcoe. Wills was a worthwhile inclusion. Terrific to see WHE, Elliot and Sidebottom get on the scoreboard. The Current Captain was fantastic with 10 tackles and Grundy dominant when it counted. Crisp and Roughhead reliable as ever, good to have Adams back. Hope Cox is OK.

Exactly what was needed and expected against a rabble like the Cold Goats. Same again next week against the Dreamons please

So many positives
A win and admittedly against a less better performed team but only play who you are given to play

A chance to get the game they played early doors

And momentum ,believe and a does of confidence

One can hope it’s up from here
