I think Danny Stanley said it was easier to play on Russell Robertson in the VFL than in the AFL because of the difference in the quality of delivery.
Lots of players can play well at VFL (or SANFL/WAFL) level without being able to cut it at the next level up. A lack of height, speed, skill that isn't expoited at state level can be cruelly found out at the next level up.
Andrew Williams is regularly in the best for Willi isn't he??

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Williams is a good case in point, and as for Fanning... one BOG does not make a brownlow (or some silly variation )
I heard that Richards too had an excellent game at Williamstown last week.... so let's concentrate on him and support him while he tries to really make it in the AFL, rather than crying over (possibly) spilt milk.

Jason Cloke makes a wonderful VFL player because the current VFL still has the skill level of the old VFL from the 70's. Unfortunately, his type of player is finding it increasingly more and more difficult to cut it in modern AFL.Sachmojo wrote:Well, as he didn't get picked up in the preseason draft, it looks like there are 16 AFL teams that disagree with you.dish wrote:Jason cloke was stiff to be delisted very good footballer IMO
