England got to 296 all out. In the second innings, Pakistan made 221, setting England 297 to win. They nearly got halfway. All out 144. The 38 year old Noman Ali took 8/46 to ruin England's chances. He took 3 in the first, as well. Meanwhile, Sajid Khan took the other English wickets, finishing with 7/111 and 2/93. Sajid Khan was named POTM, which is, on the face of it, a little surprising.

The batting stats tell a sorry tale: Brook 373 runs for the series, 317 of those in one innings; Root 352 runs in the series, 262 of those in one innings. Duckett, to his credit, reached 50 3 times and went on to make 100 once. Apart from them, Smith and Crawley each reached 50 once.
