Still to be officially confirmed by the Club website, but major media outlets are reporting he has passed the medical and its now a mere formality.

I don't mind it at all. An upgrade on those we let go.

Tim Membrey can certainly play well at AFL level. If he settles into the club well and shows some good form over the pre-season I can envisage him slotting into the top 23 as a leading forward and then McStay becomes the back-up ruck/resting tall forward as an alternative to Mason Cox.
Alternatively McStay could become a swingman to move to the defense based on what talls are in the opposition. This provides us with a lot move versatility and coverage for all parts of the ground.

I have to laugh at this because one of our forward line issues is all too often, Hill, Schultz and Elliot all fly for the same contested mark as McStay and Mihocek.

Membrey has just been officially delisted by the Saints. Looks to be a formality now on Friday when the period opens.
