Unfortunately the Weed on offer is low quality leaf reminiscent of home grown backyard products of the 80's rather than the high quality, high potency stuff generally available today.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

He's heading to Vermont, he will kill it but that is his standard. The Black and White Lion wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 5:47 pm Did the Dees of Dons ever play him as a Key Back. That’s his only shot at VFL now surely

Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
Sam Weideman has always looked the part.
But he is a victim of the MFC trying to get one over the Pies. IIRC, he was expected to go in the early 20s, but the Dees jumped on him with, what pick 6 or something?
And once you've been drafted there, your development will be slow, as the people you work with are unprofessional and rather clueless. There are too many examples of this from that club. When you're just trying to draft a player because a rival wanted him, then you dont have people at the club that are actually doing their job and watching these kids in the U18s. Had he gone to our pick at 25 or whatever, who knows how he would have turned out. But the second he went to Melbourne, he was doomed because they dont know the first thing about the passion to play.

Unfortunately, I never thought Sam Weideman was much of a player. He's failed at 2 clubs.
Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
27yo, confidence shot, if he's not made it by now in any meaningful way then I'd say nah. I'd rather take a punt on some of the young forwards that will be available at our time draft night.

How da fug does Geelong do it? They paid unders for Smith, and rorting the salary cap with “business interests.” It was such an easy trade, the Dogs rolled over and showed their belly. Never ceases to amaze me how hard we have to wheel and deal, but for Geelong it’s a breeze.

Does he have the mobility for that role? Would he be able to carry boxes of tomatoes with ease - or would he spill them at critical moments?

Perhaps it is because of the “business interest.” carrot Geelong wave in their faces, they go back to their old club and remain steadfast in wanting to move... or else they walk. Money gives them conviction.Mr Miyagi wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 11:38 am How da fug does Geelong do it? Nah not the player but opposition clubs. It’s like the dogs couldn’t wait to trade him away and just took whatever was offered. Geelong does it again and againCharlie Oneeye wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 2:12 pmPerhaps it is because of the “business interest.” carrot Geelong wave in their faces, they go back to their old club and remain steadfast in wanting to move... or else they walk. Re: Trade Targets ~ Free Agency & MSD player discussion
I agree with signing on Tim Membrey ( given the medical green light).
He would give us great extra depth in the forward line, and we have more room to rest Jamie.
With McStay, Checkers up forward, and our armada of small forwards, I am not so much concerned about the continued lack of a power tall forward.
The acquisition of Houston and Perryman is going to absolutely electrify our ball movement from half back, and that is our avenue to goal.
More concerned that we did not acquire another inside mid to give us additional midfield depth, which was a horrible weakness in 2024.
We just have no idea of knowing how much Titch will be able to contribute next year.
Our depth atm is: Ned Long, Finn, Ed Allan. Sulli.
Not sure if this is enough.
I would have loved to grabbed Matt Kennedy, or even Devon Robertson as a back up mature inside mid.
