Daniher can at least say he went out on a high.

Apparently he's based in Byron Bay, so the commute back and fourth must have taken a toll on him.

The thing is too, that he told Fagan that 2023 will be his last year "if we beat Collingwood". He was just about BOG for the Lions wasnt he? And his old man was shitting bricks when they showed him on TV. It's turned out to be a complete fairytale for him. The Lions were just about no chance going into the finals after stuffing up their top 4 spot. Then GWS completely blew it and gifted them a spot in the Prelim. The game against Geelong was one of the games of the year. And once they made the GF, they were never losing it.

Makes me think what we could have done in September had we snuck in. Could we have beaten the Lions in week one? We'll never know.

But yeah, Joe retired which was a bit unexpected until BT said something.

Joe Daniher's last kick was in a winning GF. A goal.

Bye, Joe.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D
