AFL related 'rumours'

Post by LaurieHolden »

I wonder what this is all about.
I hope it isn't the case, but I wonder if it relates to Bruce McAvaneys health. I thought it was unusual he came back for a cameo for the finals.

He's gone silent.

Something that will affect both clubs... what is it?? Joe retiring doesn't affect the Swans... So that couldnt have been it. Has he just led us on with some BS words?

^ He'll be 38 in Jan. And hasn't played for a year. And didn't really play that well in his final 2 years with the Swans. I wonder if there is any truth to that or just a fun suggestion?

Would be interesting if Tex was still un-signed. Maybe Peter Wright is an option? Or Weideman?? Wouldn't it be funny if Schace ended up back there. Could they enquire about Krueger or Ash Johnson? But in all honesty, maybe they should talk to Tom Lynch?

Either way it puts a heavy dent into their premiership defence. And puts more pressure on Hipwood to do more.

BTW, I'm also disappointed with BT's rumour.

I’m hearing from a very reliable source that the Oliver trade chat is real and it’s being pushed by the club
It’s part of trying to appease Petracca and hoping he doesn’t push the AFLPA to go after Melbourne for duty of care relating to his treatment after the queen’s birthday mishap
Part of Petracca’s overall displeasure at the club is his belief that the club acts and accepts unprofessional behaviour on multiple levels
He apparently is referring to a incident mid season where Oliver turned up extremely hang over at a training session and the coach laughed and joked about wishing he had been out with him
