Seems both Jordy and Bobby will be back, which is great news.

It wouldn't surprise me if Murphy gets up to, knowing how tough and determined he is.

Outs: Ryan, Lipinski

In: JDG, Hill

Cox into first ruck and Ginni the sub.

Time to inovate and yeah try untapped talent.

The final home and away game is not the time to be trying untapped talent.
Reef has been tried, Harrison tried, Johnson tried multiple times, Ryan tried. No one has impressed. When there has been opportunity for the likes of macrae, etc, they’ve been injured or gotten injured in the VFL. Now is the time to fill the gaps so we have 22 fit for Friday. There is no one you could name playing VFL now who would come in and replace any of those out injured currently.

I remember Malthouse towards the end of 2010 when he played Medhurst for the first time in 12 weeks utter words to the effect that "he had been out of the seniors so long playing reserves" he looked a step off it.

With very little midfield injuries players like Macrae, Carmichael, McInnes etc.. have been the victims of not enough senior game time. One game against Essendon is unlikely to get them into Finals form.

With McCreery and Murph out, why not give Ash Johnston a run, he can play well in big matches, can kick long goals too, see what he can do now, pre Finals, I reckon hed get goals v the Dons, whose backs r now woeful, even Scott admits that.

Yeah forgot about Ash.

I think its good time to brought back in and kind of prove the doubters wrong.

Always feel like he has alot to offer and look we only just drafted him mid season 2022.

I think he is due to come good as some stage.

Was hoping Kruger to play this friday night but now needs 1 more vfl match. He escaped any injury and was more like a stinger knock to his shoulder.
Scans cleared him of any damage.

Be great to see Allan and Mcrae given a run in the AFL.

Also we have the likes of Begg and Sceene as well could cover Ryan.

Nope, rarely sighted on game day.
But was cited and suspected by the maggotsquad for tacklelotto...

Anyone feel like 2024 we will be in the wheelhouse to win the flag and not quite comfortable and confident about 2023 is quite our year.

Its either a close prelim lose or a flag for me either the 2.

Out in the semi just doesnt cut it.

2024 we will be primed alot more.

A game clear top of ladder, with a game to play. Been top most of the season. At one stage results could have had us four games clear top, but some are not comfortable we can win it this year?
I hope the players don’t read some of the posts on this forum or else they’d be wondering what the hell they need to do to earn just a modicum of respect for what they’ve achieved to date, knowing full well we haven’t even started the real stuff yet.

Out Murphy (inj/rest), McCreery (susp), Ryan (inj)
In: JDG, Hill, McInnes
Howe to go to defence and McInnes to be the third tall in the forward line.
Great to see that Hill is good to return, because I would prefer him to play one more time leading into finals (otherwise, it is a long gap between games for him, and he has been definitively cleared of hamstring damage).
From the injury report, it seems unlikely that Murph will be risked. I am happy for him to take a 2 week rest, as he has been in the wars recently.
McInnes to start in 22.
Cameron as sub.
Free Julian Assange!!
