Home ground, wet night that doesn't suit your oppositions biggest strength, still lose.

Port must be gutted.

Hopefully, this will put paid to the idea that Murph (the magnificent) is not in our best 22.

Fantastic win. Down, away, with conditions greatly undermining our biggest advantage, which is fast, clever ball movement.

Port will think they ought to have won that, but they will fear what's coming in the dry on the MCG. We were also a bit dumb, neither adapting to the conditions nor making structural adjustments quickly enough.

But our desire to win is something every great team has in store for games like this: god-awful conditions taking away our biggest weapons, and the opponent cherry ripe at home coming off a loss.

That's the best game of Murphy's career doing Murphy things and more (take that, doubters - does he read Nick's?).

Jamie's ability to rise to the moment is phenomenal. I've always loved the lad, and to see him be rewarded for coming back from bad injuries, and even better, to step up like this again and again in the biggest moments, is inspiring.

And a mention for Tay, who has put together two strong games after a tough spell.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Elliot is an absolute legend.
The lift in the last quarter by the whole team was unbelievable.
