Some kind of spider has set up in my front garden. It seems to have some sort of web trap setup down low and when something gets caught in it, the spider must feel the vibrations and abseils down on a web string to get lunch.

So I went out this arvo to water the garden, The hose must have hit the web trap which triggered the spider to come down, right into the shower stream from the hose. After a brief WTF moment, the wet spider shot back up into the tree, perched there like a vulture. Probably thought he had dinner for 10 locked away from the vibrations.

I watered somewhere else for a minute then went back, and down he came again, same result. 2 more times it happened before Spider said nup and stayed at home.

So the Coronation of Charlie the wannabe tampon is on tonight. I'm on the same side as the fans of the Celtic Soccer club who made their feelings pretty clear.

When Hayes rang up this morning before school he asked if he could have dinner at our place before his footy game tonight. I said yeah sure, what would you like?
"The chips in the paper please"... I looked at Kelly, she smiled, "He means fish 'n Chips Grandad".

Surely this is the only worthwhile thing The Mirror has ever published. I found it checking if Tiny Kox really is a Dutch politician!

Tiny Kox and 10 more politicians with really unfortunate names

Having parents who fumbled the ball on the birth certificate is one thing, but the article makes a good point: there are two (presumed) "Richards" there who really didn't need to shorten their names to "Dick" but evidently chose to anyway. Why!?

Duh, or der? Because people arelazyandshorten names, it’s also a sign of familiarity. People call me Jo or Jojo, (they actually do LD) mostly, or Joanne if they are mad at me!

I have no idea why Richard is shortened to sick, but it has been since the ice ages!

I do have a friend who’s married name is Theresa brown!
