Been pondering that one for months; surely he has disclosed whatever happened there to the club, before we start hearing rumours?

Only time will tell whether he warrants senior selection or not.
I'd guess he could spend some time in VFL with a few unlucky AFL players; but that IS what we indeed require - FIERCE competition for spots in starting 22.

Good (O)leg speed, questionable ball usage seems to be the rational consensus on him. Detractors say he’s just an athlete (lacking footy skills)

With Dean going onto the LTI, and having had a good look at him already, why not

Pinching him from under Carlton’s nose is just the icing on top :D

3rd time he's buggered the same foot. Feel sorry for the guy but if it doesn't come good this time he must be gone.

So as it turns out the reason Markov wasn’t re- signed at the Suns was purely a list management decision. As we all know, the Suns had cap problems ( believe it or not ) and Markov was simply a victim of being out of contract at the wrong time.

I don't care if he doesn't play a game - he chose the Pies and I love him already.

I assume we offered him a contract first so wouldn’t be making too much of it

He is a good average player, can't have enough of them...as long as you have the start power, which we do in spades

Tough luck for Charlie staring at 2 years at the club without playing a game

2013 draft recruit Nathan Freeman went thru same deal. In fact he never played a game at all

Has he really done the same foot three times?Poor kid, that is worrying news for him.

And welcome Oleg Markov,He looks a bit wild with that moustache of his,but I think he’ll provide good depth if one of our defenders goes down.

I would not be worrying about his foot skills too much:

Oleg Markov 2016 - 2022 average disposals - 14.6 @ a disposal efficiency of 76.1%,

over the same period:

Scott Pendlebury 2016 - 2022 average disposals - 25.8 @ a disposal efficiency of 74.7%,

Yes he won't get it as much as Pendles but uses it just as well
