Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967)
Stars: Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Sidney Poitier.

What a gem.
In the scene near the end where Spencer Tracy gives his memorable soliloquy, Katharine Hepburn can be seen crying in the background. This was not acting: she knew how gravely ill her longtime friend was and was moved by his remarks about how true love endures through the years.
The film's last scene was Spencer Tracy's last scene ever filmed. It took a week to shoot the scene, and at the end, he was given a standing ovation by the crew. He died seventeen days after filming was completed.
Lauries rating over 4 quarters ~ two of the games legends at the top of their craft, put on a clinic. I give it 8 goals 2 behinds. (maximum 10 goals)

Even the teaming of heavyweights De Niro & Pacino couldn't save this genre numbing script. It was like sitting through the Geelong / Sydney GF again, everyone hoped for a classic, but were kept waiting for the action to start.
If you are hoping for more of the same dynacism delivered between these two in Heat (1995), and expecting something close to the Street shoot-out scene from the very movie to unfold, well spoiler alert ~ you'll be left drudging through 90 minutes and asking yourself have these veterans played one season too many?

Finally caught up and watched this the other night and it's really good.
For anyone who is after some clarity around the 2008 financial collapse, or just someone wanting to watch a good film, this is a great option (even for those of you with questionable taste
