You couldn't stream Life of Brian on Tik Tok without the snowflakes have en epic melt.
My kids are 28 and 30 so I don't think they quite qualify for the Snowflake generation and neither of them are snowflakes anyway but your point is valid.
From memory, Life of Brian was subject to protests from the Christian lobby at the time of it's release.

Have the poll results been released yet?David wrote:Interesting, thanks SB. Haven't seen most of these, needless to say (Fourteen, which I caught last year, is fantastic, while Lovers Rock and Sorry We Missed You are also well worth a look; I wouldn't bother with Shirley), but I'm particularly interested in the top two on that list. I'm currently trying to put together my own top ten for the Senses of Cinema critics poll, which is due on Monday, so wish me luck!
What was your top ten?

You've only just watched Thor? What'sinaname wrote:Watched Thor and was disappointed with it and disappointed with the entire Marvel catalogue. They are just the lowbrow version of the X-men movies.
It wasn't a great movie, but they got better. Thor Ragnarok was the best one.
The Iron Man movies were great. Robert Downey Jr took one of the Marvel B graders and made him star of the whole shebang.

Parasite was a beauty. I still need to checkout Killer of Sheep.David wrote:They haven't been published yet, but I'm happy to post them here exclusively.

Saw great Aussie crime/murder mystery ‘DRY’ tonight at the Cinema. My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed it. Recommended as one of the best Aussie movies I have seen for a while.

That's what I watched,Thor Ragnarok and it was so over the top, it was neither funny, nor entertaining, just loud and and crammed with special effects. The Hulk fight scene comes close to one of the worst fight scenes in a movie.stui magpie wrote:You've only just watched Thor? What'sinaname wrote:Watched Thor and was disappointed with it and disappointed with the entire Marvel catalogue. The video below hilariously points out everything that is wrong with Wonder Woman 1984.
