And somewhere out in footy land was speculation Checkers would be squeezed out as we work on keeping Moore & DeGoey

This win equal to the 2002 QF victory against Port Power.

I must say I didn’t think we would win but I just wanted the players to give their all.
I know people are saying that bringing in Cameron was a master stroke but tbh it was a no brainer with Grundy’s continued poor form. It was probably more of a safe option really.
There were plenty of players that played exceptionally well lead by Adams. He gives 100% in every game which is a lesson to every young player coming in.
Although we won, there is still much upside to this team namely Grundy in the ruck.
I think the umpires were ok tonight and I really only saw two howlers. The Adams holding the ball when he didn’t even have it and I thought Elliott was extremely lucky to not get done holding the ball in the passage of play where WHE kicked a goal in the third.
We were equal premiership favourites at the beginning of the season for a reason. We have the squad to go all the way and the next 3 weeks will be the best ride of our lives....hopefully

Straight kicking makes a difference.

Last time they won 18-3 to 6-9.

This time it was 11-9 to 12-4

They went from 21 scores to 20 and we went from 15 scores to 16.

So 1 scoring shot different and a 11 goal turnaround.

It was a magnificent and in many ways unexpected performance. Where has that ball movement and daring been all season? Is Nathan about to shock the world with this brand of Magpie football that we’ve not seen in like forever? So much to love about that game, from Adams’ maniacal attack to Cox going beast mode, Daicos turning into a star before our eyes, the sheer brilliance of De Goey and Mihocek turning match winner. But that game style!! Come on boys. That’s what we want to see moving forward. They turn up like that next week and they’ll blow those overrated Cats off the park. Let’s hope.
I, for one, welcome our new black and white overlords

Holy s**t. What a win.
It's ridiculous we haven't renewed his contract.

One of our most underrated players.
Can we stop posting rubbish that we have to chase Gunston because Gunston is an upgrade of Mihocek.

Buckley planned to tag Kelly the right way. You don’t start a tagger in the middle if that tagger isn’t a natural mid fielder. It’s like starting one clearance player short at the bounce. Greenwood came in off the line the second the ball was bounced and followed Kelly everywhere. Greenwood also did some damage of his own. It was a big game from Pig.

Oh, leave off please!!! Tonight is not the right time to dishing any of our players. I just can't relate to such thinking.

JT did alright. He was non-awarded a clear mark in front of goal and dished off the handball, under extreme pressure, to Brody Mihocek who kicked that superb left foot goal in the last quarter.
P P, it needs to be said, I do admire your constant support of the players.
It bemuses me that people still choose to find fault rather than to celebrate one of the greatest finals victories in the history of the AFL.
Cheers !
