I get a tinge of sadness in thinking that in normal times, we'd be stressed to the max getting finals tickets for the Geelong game on Monday, and having that adrenaline rush and excitement all of next week.
Those who have the privilege to see us live this year should cherish it. Those of us in Victoria have taken it for granted for years.
if nothing else good happens this season
that win will not be forgotten in what is
a rich history of against the odds finals wins
. ffs we have played more and won more
than any other team. yes too many gf losses
amongst it but our pies turn up again and again.
cameron selection a gamble that payed rich dividends
daicos set the tone from the get go. how good is
it to have his surety?
Adams smother at the finish seals the game.
They took on the corridor with decisive passes
by hand or foot forward. we have been crying out for it and they delivered. keep the braveness about being aggresively
offensive in mindset happening.
Mihocek turned the game at the death and so good
to see him overcome McGovern in the
process.
Greenwood blanketing of Kelly a key as well as
winning his own ball
Treloar a constant source all night.
Degoey kept involved and his 2 goals superb.
Cox lit the fuse early. Gotta keep him involved
longer now.
Great team effort. No passengers tonight.
Bring on the cats.
Go dirty pies!!! That front page pic in wa rag this week they showed on tv tonight sums
up their rude and blinkered one team town mindset (sorry freo but u have not been able to correct that)
In the books as right up there with their best ever finals.wins.
Who knows what happens from here.
A classic win reminiscent of the 2002 first final against Port Adelaide.
As I said, the ins were very good. Cameron gave a chop out to Grundy and stopped West Coast from dominating the marking contests. Mayne stood up particularly in the last quarter as a steadying influence - tremendous effort to play after a serious fractured cheek.
Mihocek stood up in the second half - he has been bullied a bit by the Eagles previously so hat tip to him.
De Goey kicked two terrific goals after also being absent in the first half.
This is a great sign that such players keep in the game even when things aren’t going their way.
Greenwood shut out Kelly very well - terrific competitor
Treloar was excellent- he looks freer now and is much more dangerous than I have seen for a while
IQ will have learnt a lot from tonight - he is a superb kick. Needs to play in front a bit more.
Noble and Madgen have come a long way - good solid contributors
If JT and WHE can find 10% extra it would be huge.
Well the west australian newspaper perth now are whinging that the Crisp pass in the last minute was a throw.
They even provided a slow mo video.
And you know what?????
They were 100% correct.
SUFFER!!!!!!!!!!

I can't remember it properly now (many glasses of red later!), but he did something so skilled, so perfect in one passage of play that resulted in a forward entry and all I could say was "Oh, Daicos!". Great game from the young one.
You talking about his left foot spearing pass to Steph on the wing and ended in a goal? Daicos magic at it's best!
I'm not the pheasant plucker I'm the pheasant plucker's son, and I'll be plucking pheasants til the pheasant plucker comes! "Try saying that with a mouthful of peanuts!!" Lou Richards
If they hadn't spent the night double-handed throwing it out of the contest with impunity, they might have got a free for that, too - but they would have been 7 goals behind when they did.
