That mark alone, beats the infamous Jezza GF mark of the 1970GF, the "jesaulenko u beauty" that is legend, but honestly this one beats it, as does most of Howes. Most big marks now beat that old one, i dont often agree with Kane Cornes, but he was rght bout that mark, it has been beaten many times since, and Maynards is a cracker, one shining light in a very dull day.
and he had a teddy bear in his bag when he got off the plane today, gotta love that!!!
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

any chance we can rest that spud Phillips?

a wingman with 64% disposal efficiency and only 14 disposals.....

1 tackle...1 tackle!

Taylor Adams - 39% disposal efficiency from 18 disposals.... 39%.....

Darcy Moore was 90%.....just to give a comparison

I thought they played OK, and Cameron is showing some promising signs.

What was more concerning to me was that I noticed multiple occasions where Cameron attempted to mark and was spoiled, the ball dropped to ground level... and no one was there.

This seemed to be the case too often last week as well. Don't we have twelve million small forwards? Why do we rarely see them when the ball hits the deck after a marking contest inside the F50?

We have no idea what front and centre means. Neither does Buckley. Steele and Varcoe are our only front and centre specialists in the entire team. It’s embarrassing and unacceptable.

To be fair Streak, those aren't my words....but as I said in my actual post, I think what we got is what you would expect from players of that calibre.

Missed C.Brown up forward

Oops, terrible quoting work by me! Sorry - corrected in my last post. Thanks for pointing that out.

Jezza's mark is famous only because Carlton won the game - it was not, or nowhere near the greatest marks of all time.

Compare to Goddard's 2010 mark. If the Saints won that GF, that mark would be played with the sam regularity as Jeza's mark. But given the Saints didn't win, the only time we see it is when they show highlights of the drawn GF.
