I'm not buying the official spin on his condition, obviously.

Yep. Okay. This means we will have to give up some top notch players. Please, not Billy though. He was one of our shining lights today.bokka wrote:1st round selection that we could trade for.PyreneesPie wrote:For sure mudlark, but where is such a player????mudlark wrote:We need some big changes to our list and No 1on the list is a full forward who can kick more than 40 metres and take a mark and contest. Lots more but that will be a great start..
Yes, I think WHE's loss of form this season was significant. But I think there were reasons for it, and we will look forward to a resurgence next year.Mr Miyagi wrote:WHE has been disappointing this year. Last year he was one of the guys who got us to a GF, he was playing fantastic footy. This year... just went down a few rungs.
This was an issue we discussed all season and no-one seemed to be able come up with an answer. A dominant ruckman and individual players who can be brilliant in their own right - Treloar, Pendles,Tay, Sidey. I thought the addition of Wills as an in and under player really helped.RudeBoy wrote:We lost it in the midfield, just as we did in last year's Grannie.
I'm not sure what we can do to improve, but ffs, we can't keep rolling up the same midfield group, expecting a different result. Despite their individual reputations, collectively, we have a very ordinary group of midfielders.
Don’t let the troll suck you in, he ain’t worth itPies4shaw wrote:You're just making stuff up, now.Adz wrote:Watch the game again. He’s “stay at the back” rucking was excellent.
Mumford had 3 clearances. Grundy had 10.
The ruck contest was possibly the most one-sided I have ever witnessed - our mids didn't turn up to play but that had absolutely nothing to do with Mumford.

Yes - he had little influence on the game today.
But - He has essentially carried the forward line this year, he is a big reason we won many games to get us to this point.
He is a fine key forward. We dont need to throw him away just yet.
He was interviewed on SEN today and explained that when his retinas were examined, the eye specialist found an old retinal tear as well as the one he sustained most recently. He nutted it out with the physios and they identified a game really early in the season where this could have happened. Sorry MTTM, but can't remember exactly which game it was - it was really early on though.Magpietothemax wrote:I didn't know this. Please give further info, PP.PyreneesPie wrote:
Don't forget we still have Coxy. Played with a detached retina (aside from the more recent one) for most of the year.
Yep. No wonder he couldn't clunk as many marks. Look forward to him next year being able to see the ball!!PyreneesPie wrote:He was interviewed on SEN today and explained that when his retinas were examined, the eye specialist found an old retinal tear as well as the one he sustained most recently. The good news is that although he is still restricted at the moment in regards to physical exertion, he shouldn't miss much of the pre-season, if at all.
Who would've thought eh? There were plenty of detractors slamming his poor form, but the poor bugar probably couldn't even see the ball properly!!!.
Love your Collingwood spirit TP.think positive wrote:
No we did t really play well enough to deserve it, and god knows we will never ever get a fairy tale ending, any other team would have got a free in those last 90 sec, . Yeah I feel robbed and angry and disappointed, but I’m damn proud of this team. My arse will be back at the G round 1, but for now, go **** your self AFL and your inconsistency, on the field at the tribunal. Your bullshit best and fairest, Pat your self on the back, another affiliate gets a grand final, meanwhile your pay day gets jack shit. **** you.
