i was excited to have beams back.
now i'm not, we need him for unders not overs.

walk away pies.
injuries and age.
we can do better.
Beams is not worth paying overs for, since it doesn't help our needs. It's further strengthening of our strength. A nice to have. He only has 3 years left in him and has been injury prone prior to this year.

How the **** does Hawthorn get Scully for pick 53? I'm hearing some people at the Dees are fuming.

Get Beams if he's cheap, but if it's a first rounder, not worth it.

JT almost kicked 40 goals this year, there's no reason we should be considering dropping him IMO.

As far as Aish and Mayne, they've both excelled in defensive roles and whilst Beams is a certain A-Grader, he was always pretty unaccountable going the other way.

Given his age and apparent price this seems like something we should give up on.

JT was excellent but tapered off in the second half of the season. He also goes missing in games and doesn't get his hands to the ball as often as he should.

Beams covers him in midfield easily.

JT may cover him up forward, but Beams has never had a full season at half forward so hard to tell if he would have a 40 goal season.

Listening to Paul Connors this morning, we need to offer a pretty good deal for Beams. We shouldn't sell the farm for him so let's see how it pans out.

Can he intercept mark as well as King of Kings (formerly known as The Future Captain)? If so, he can play on the HBF (if he learns to lay a tackle from time to time).

No.

And no.

You led with your chin on the question that you asked though. I was surprised that no other smart arse had already responded with that answer.

The question that you asked is so very different to the way the club was being talked about a year ago. If we are discussing which good player is going to be omitted then we should all be very happy.

If the reports are true and Langdon is signing on again for far less than he was offered elsewhere then he should have all of our respect. It says a lot about him, and about the way the club is travelling at the moment. No-one can be prised out of there.
