Apparently he was the first player ever to have 40+ disposals in a prelim.

Eagles tagger sets his sights on star Magpie

...
In round 17, Hutchings clamped the Pies' most dangerous midfielder, holding him to an equal season-low 18 touches as the Eagles silenced their critics at the MCG.

They played a game of cat and mouse in the qualifying final, with Sidebottom starting across half-forward to throw the Eagles' plans out of whack.

He was Collingwood's best on the night at Optus Stadium, but West Coast would have taken his 27 disposals, and Hutchings is setting himself for the task again.

"There will be that talk," Hutchings said.

"I'll wait again until Wednesday or Thursday, because it could change, but he's been playing really well in finals."

Sidey was the only player to be ranked BOG by the umpires 7 times in 2018. The next in line was Mitchell (6) and, after him, no one else was ranked BOG more than 4 times.

He is now 8th all-time on the list of Collingwood players with most Brownlow votes, behind only Swan, Pendlebury, Buckley, Thompson, Regan, Daicos and Picken. And when the votes are adjusted to account for the weird voting systems that have been in place from time to time, Sidey moves up to 7th, well ahead of Picken.

The 2008 draft is interesting really
The top 10-15 draft picks that year have all had varied careers some decent quite a few not so much
At the moment Sidey is one of 2 to register 200 games thus far making him very durable Hannabery has 208 games to Sidey's 202

Brownlow wise he's a fair way behind the top vote getter
Hannabery 106 (208 games 1 X BF winner 1 X AFLCA winner 3 X AA nominee 3 top 10 Brownlow finishes)
Sloane 94 (177 games 2 X BF winner 2 x AA nominee 3 top 10 Brownlow finishes
Beams 88 (168 games 2 X BF winner 3 X AA nominee 3 top 10 Brownlow finishes)
Sidey 84 (202 games 1 X BF 1 X AA nominee 1 X Brownlow top 10 finish)

But this weekend he has the chance to be the only 2 time premiership player

It looks like the coaches agreed exactly on the votes. I think that may be a first. Or else one of them didn't bother. Who knows? Or, frankly, much cares?
