Kirby with 3 is nice. Whats the Frosty table looking like now?

Are our finals chances blown?

Kirby is now four goals clear on top with 42, with Port Melbourne (the team of his nearest rival Jordan Lisle on 38) to play today against one of the premiership favourites in Box Hill. The next competitor after Lisle is Dylan Conway, also of Port Melbourne, on 35. If we're lucky, they rob each other of goals along the way.

Regardless of what happens later today (and we certainly should be barracking for Lisle to get as few as possible), the scene is set for a cliffhanger finish next Saturday morning, as we take on none other than Port Melbourne, in a match that will have numerous plots and sub-plots running through it, on both sides. The Frosty Miller Medal will most likely be decided there. And it will be live streamed, which I know you'll enjoy!

No, actually. The loss by itself wasn't fatal (though it certainly didn't help), but the damage was offset after we were done a solid by the most unlikeliest of helpers in the Northern Blues, who played and beat our nearest chaser Werribee yesterday. That loss leaves all of the Pies, Blues and Werribee (in that order) on 32 points, but we are in overall 8th position by way of superior percentage (and in the case of the gap between us and the Bees, it is a large one).

So, while a win would have been absolutely preferable, it wasn't essential. Next week, however, we have to win to lock in a finals berth, otherwise we have to rely on other results (likely other results, but other results nevertheless)...
