Mayne marks out on the lead, goes back, converts from 45m, slight angle.
At least he's kicking goals for a change...

Mayne limping after that clash. Well, there go our chances for the senior flag in 2017.

Ramsay in the clear, goes for a bit of a run, delivers lace-out inside 50 for The Kirb!
From the numbers, broadcast side, hooks it badly to the outer pocket, MAYNE!
Rises, like Lazarus, takes the mark!
From 20m, tight angle... kicks number four!
He's heard me, obviously...
77-101

Mayne having a purple patch, hits up Hellier inside the 50.
Jack, from 45m, 25 d... GOAL!
Hmm...

So Mayne has 4 or 5 and 3 goal assists?
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Great signs from Mayne, that's why we recruited him. Hopefully he can put a few strong games together
People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again.

Four goals. But yep, that sounds about right.
His tally was padded by one really good final quarter though. He's still bog ordinary...

Mayne needs to back this up.
A few games in a row like this and we'll see him in the seniors.
We're screaming out for goal scoring options and if he cannot break into the team soon, he never will.
But some good signs in the last 2 matches.

Thanks for the commentary MB.
Was Mayne any good as the stats suggest and what happened to Kirby because some are saying he lost the plot at one stage in the match?
Thanks.

Kirby reacted badly to the close tag. He's not the first and won't be the last. Mayne had an adequate last quarter but, just as MB described him, he was "bog ordinary".
