I was watching an older movie yesterday called "A simple plan" and it suddenly struck me whatever happened to Bridget Fonda.
She was pretty big in the 90's, in a number of popular movies and I must say she had a genuine sex appeal without being the standard Hollywood starlet.
Turns out she did something pretty rare for an actor and retired back in 2002, got married to a man 11 years her senior, a movie music composer (who looks suspiciously Elton John gay to me), popped out a son and hasn't acted in anything since.

I really liked La La Land. Surprising as musicals aren't usually my thing and I don't usually go for big Hollywood blockbusters either. But it's a really creative and enjoyable film.
Also saw a wonderfully cynical French comedy from the '70s called The Castaways of Turtle Island in which a travel agency comes up with the idea of taking ten people (led by a David Brent style tour guide and including a wannabe scuba diver, a hippie couple and a supermodel who signed up for the wrong trip by mistake) and stranding them on a desert island without food or possessions, Survivor style.

La La Land, Patriots Day and Arrival now available at a torrent site near you.
Watched Patriots Day last night with Marky Mark. Not bad, I found it more a TV movie than a cinema one. Arrival tonight
