The first one is a classic

Saw the star wars movie tonight, not bad, 3d effects were pretty good

Didn't like one bit of the story, wasn't necessary!

The Shawshank Redemption.......... again.
Funny, I've probably seen it about a half dozen times, but have never actively sought it out. It's just one of those movies you can't take your eyes off when it happens to be on.
So, after a bit of channel surfing I just sat through it from 2.00-4.25am on Jan 1, with no intention of doing so. Lol.

Geez I must be getting old.

Mrs WPT & I went to the cinema today & saw "Youth".

Great stuff & wonderful to watch on the big screen.

It was: contrived, long, powerful, emotional & above all a ripper of a film. Cinematography was a treat. Marvellous soundtrack too.

Featuring Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel, Rachel Weisz,

Recent flicks

Star Wars: I enjoyed it but it's just A New Hope rebooted.
Pixels: Loved it as I was a kid during the 1980s so could relate to the games
Vacation: Not as funny as the original but Christina Applegate was pretty funny.

Here's the link for something I stumbled upon today.
A digital design agency from Kent in England have a movie quiz.
It's a street scene in which they have placed visual clues to 65 films.
This is not my area of expertise, and beyond the obvious ones, I'm buggered.
Maybe some of our movie aficionados will do better. Can you name all 65?
Hope the link works!

I got to 40 before giving up. It's pretty challenging (though all mostly Hollywood stuff).

An Austrian horror movie called "Goodnight Mummy". Pretty crappy imo, but apparently critics loved it. Dont want to drop spoilers but the twist was obvious and the 3rd act let down the entire film.
