I do like that train of thought. However...

If this is all about Beams getting home let's talk to the Suns, not Brisbane.

They have a plethora of quality mids who we could swap for him. He has 150 quality games still in him and is an AFL elite mid in his prime so we should be playing hard ball. I want a kid who is on the cusp of elite, not a Draft pick who is speculative and could be a flop.

Gee another 2010 premiership player wants to leave, I wonder why?? What happened between then and now to make one the best players we have leave the club, could it be that someone got into power that none of the players liked or respected? maybe ?????

Forget Dangerfield; he'll be at Geelong. If Beams is determined to go then we need to play hardball. Which Brisbane club offers the best trade?
After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

If the family issues are real then sign him up for five and let him take off as much time as he needs.

If the 'family issues' are a smokescreen then trade him to the Saints for their first pick.
