Great film on tonight (shortly) on the ABC: 1967 - "In the heat of the night" with Sidney Poitier & Rod Steiger. Director: Norman Jewinson. Ripper film. Academy Award winner ? best picture. Well worth recording.

New Wes Anderson film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Quite funny and entertaining, if a little Hollywood-ish at times (think chase sequences, people hanging off balconies by their fingertips and so on). I think most people here will really enjoy it.

Last night my pic, get the gringo with mel Gibson, not a bad romp, hubby fell asleep after the first 1/2 hr! His pic tonight, snowtown. Someone put a heap of movies on a hard drive for me, and flicking through he's like, is that an Aussie thing? OMG, I remember reading the reports, but that movie is just jaw dropping. Since it's real it makes wolf creek look like a walk in the park. And David, there's a kid in it, he won't get out of jail for another 10-12 years or so, and I just don't think it's fair, if they put him through half the stuff shown, gees, the poor kid.
Yep I've got empathy for a serial killer! Well an assistant. Ugh, I'm deleting it, so gross.

Some of the younger ones have more 'mainstream' tastes, though I am doing my best to convert them!
If my younger brothers had to choose between a movie night at yours or mine, they'd probably pick yours every time. On a mostly unrelated note, one of them is even putting serious thought into joining the army! We're certainly an eclectic bunch.

Been doing some research, not feeling quite so sympathetic now, he had the chance to get out but went back! Just an unbelievable set of events
