St James' Park to be renamed Sports Direct Arena

Newcastle's home ground has joined a long list of sporting venues in the world to change it's name because of corporate sponsorship. For the rest of the season St James' Park will be known as Sports Direct Arena, with the stadium changing it's name to whoever buys the name next season.

Northern Rock as also no longer the shirt sponsors, with the shirt now on the market for a sponsor. No matter what they call it... it will always be St. James' Park.

St. James' Park is how it will remain, whether the Fat Controller is there or not!! No silly signage will change that.

Apparently the council has asked for media outlets to refer to the ground as St. James' Park, I will have to find the story but most news reports I've read still refer to it as St. James' Park.
