Lola and I had a trashy movie evening last night with cheap pizza and Bridesmaids. Not as bad as either of us thought, but... still pretty bad.
Also saw the new Almodovar flick, The Skin I Live In. A little formulaic, but pleasingly twisted and perverse nevertheless (which is what he does best).

Saw The Blind Side was on Foxtel on Christmas Eve night. Missed the start by 10 mins so thought I'd have a quick look, see if I thought I'd be able to still get into it, then record it & watch later. My 'quick look' ended up being watching the whole thing - which finished at 12.45am (probably why Santa skipped my place )
Very good, really enjoyed it.

I saw Mission Impossible 4 at the cinemas on Wednesday. I was impressed by it and I thought it was a lot better than 2 and 3 and almost as good or if not better than the 1st one. Tom Cruise played the role of Ethan Hunt excellently once again.

Hurt Locker is a great movie. War movie about an elite army bomb disposal team and their constant near fatal dealings with IED's.think positive wrote:whats the Hurt LOcker like? and the Eastwood one?

Letters from Iwo Jima is very long, and in my opinion to long. Great movie, well directed, excellent acting but just a bit to drawn out. Though if your watching it on DVD / Bluray then at least you can fast forward the drwan out stages.
If you want to watch a great older movie try In the Name of the Father.
