Saw Moneyball today at the Cinema.
Good but not great film in my view.
Started off well but seemed to dissipate towards the end.

Ides of March was a much better film.

I've watched about 6 episodes of "Treme" (on Blu Ray) by the makers of "The Wire". Sensational viewing & listening. I'm using the subtitles because of the American speech speed, idiom & accent can make it diffcult to get it all.

What's "Ides of March"?

(does it have latin subtitles?)

Looking forward to Hugo and the new, "edgier," Tinker, Tailor...etc.
David (Stratton) and Margret were raving about both last night!
19 stars between them. Impressive!

Et tu 3.14159? - "The Ides of March" is a film about political machinations -in some way like Julius Ceasar.

Saw series 1 of "Treme" on blu ray - fan-bloody- tastic.

Great writing, the music is something else - music & in some instances peformances by Dr John as well as Mac Rebanac, Steve Earle, Kermot Ruffins, Professor Longhair, Donald Harrison Jnr....

Saw a DVD tonight for the first time I bought a while ago - "The Lost Weekend" Screenplay in part & directed by Billy Wilder (His Girl Friday, The Front Page, Some Like it Hot, Ninotchka, Double Indemnity, Witness for the Prosecution, Sunset Boulevard amongst others). Billy Wilder is one of my favourite writers /Directors.

This one was made in 1946 & won 4 academy awards:

Just finished watching "Infernal Affairs", the Hong Kong cop movie that Scorcese's "The Departed" is based on. Great movie, I recommend it. :)
