I saw The Hangover 2 tonight. If you're out for some dumb, cheap laughs, this is your movie. Not extremely clever or original, but very funny nonetheless.

I laughed a LOT!

Really? I absolutely despised the first one, and I can usually appreciate a funny film. I don't know why so many people (including Roger Ebert and other film critics) seemed to love it so much. I really hated it.

I actually didn't mind it! Cheap laughs, one of those movies you can turn your brain off for (not usually a fan of doing that though haha.)

Still haven't seen the second one. The last movie I saw was Space Jam. On VHS, that is right people... VHS!

I just didn't get it, I guess. I love Life of Brian, Withnail and I and even Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Superbad was also really good. I went into The Hangover expecting a Judd Apatow-ish film, but it just seemed really dumb and unfunny, more in the vein of Road Trip or something. Oh well, each to their own.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one. May have been the mood I was in or the pressure of everyone telling me I HAD to like it.

Tonight I was in a good mood, it was a work social event, nobody had given me any pre-conceived notions, and I just enjoyed it.

Don't discount it completely David. It may surprise you.

A friend burned "Chinatown" for me a while ago. Ms WPT & I saw it the other night. What a great film - haven't seen it since about the time it was released - many moons ago.

Directed by Roman Polanski, featuring a young Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway & John Huston.

love the first one, for me the 2nd was funny but to many cheap laughs this time (the doodle thing got a bit much, sitting next to my 15 year old)

everyone told me how brilliant it was, but im not convinced,

loved the first one, it was different and clever

I know what you mean. However when I got my news all I wanted to do was normal things. Really odd. I thought I would want to travel or go places I hadn't been to before.

Maybe if the bucket gets a leaking hole then I maybe will change my mind.

Hope hubby comes along ok.
what news?
Anne and my hubby are both recovering from the dreaded C

this movie should be a must as it really hits those "cant explain things" that people who have not been here cant understand....

we are all good now and staying positive
